When is someone educated?

Being educated may have many different meanings. I personally believe that being educated does not just involve proper schooling. An educated individual is someone who sees conflicts from every perspective. Educated persons are open minded, not ignorant, accepting of all people no matter what their background is. Friendliness is a characteristic of a Educated person along with being polite. Also the individual would be knowledgable about current events, and basically know whats going on in the world. They would be concerned about epidemics and cruelty going on in the world such as Darfur and other places. An educated person would be working to make a change in the world for the better. An educated person rarely watches T.V. and instead reads books.
